Our Story

The modern offices we own today are a far cry away from where it all started for managing director, Calum Preston.

Calum started the business in April 2016 from his small bedroom, where the business remained for around the first 7 to 8 months before expanding into something that resembled an office on Chamberlain Road in Hull.

It wasn’t long before we expanded into a larger office, nicknamed ‘the dungeon’ on account of the lack of windows, on the same site.

But that didn’t stop the company from starting to shine…

The business quickly established itself with household names like the NHS & Aldi before steadily increasing the client pool.

However, further success was on the horizon in 2017/18 when we successfully secured a project for Hull University Teaching Hospitals called

Suite 36.

2017 was also the year Zenith secured a framework with Aldi to deliver their ‘Project Fresh Rollout.’ The rollout lasted 6 years and Zenith successfully delivered all 47 stores without missing one store opening.

In 2017 Zenith secured the services of now construction director, Terry Hill who’s proved instrumental to the business operations by bringing his Balfour Beatty Tier 1 ethos to a small business. Further strategic appointments to the accounts & commercial side of the business followed.

For the last 8 years MD Calum Preston has strategically and innovatively developed the business from a small subcontractor to a main contractor competing with some of the region’s finest and most established main contractors.

Zenith continues to provide a Tier 1 service with the mindset of family run business.
